Scotland: Cairngorms & Loch Lomond

Explore Scotland & the Cairngorms. Our tour starts near Perth with a private tour of Scone Palace. We have planned some stunning Scottish routes via the River Tay up into the Cairngorms, where we overnight in Aberdeenshire. Our route loops back around to Loch Tay where we learn all about whisky at Dewars. Experience more overnight luxury at the renovated Cameron House Hotel near Loch Lomond.

Itinerary

Day 1:  Arrive for Welcome Drinks & Dinner

The tour starts at Scone Palace for a private tour of the property. Arrive in time to explore the grounds and have lunch in the’old servants hall coffee shop’ filled with produce prepared from ingredients from their walled garden. It is then a short drive to Murrayshall, for the overnight stay. Once everyone has arrived we have a welcome drink arranged before dinner to be taken in the hotel’s restaurant.

Day 2:  Scone Palace Visit and onto Braemar

Our first full day of driving is a good one, as we head up into the Highlands via Scone for a guided private tour and exclusive parking in front of the Palace. We then head up into the Cairngorms via Glenshee and onto Pittodrie House for a true Highland experience.

Day 3:  Drive across the Cairngorms

After a hearty Scottish breakfast we head on into the Cairngorms via Balmoral Castle and onto Aviemore. Our journey along the pretty River Tay starts today, as we head onto Pitlochry. Our hotel sits up high overlooking the river Tummel, where it flows into the river Tay. Dinner is included at the hotel this evening.

Day 4:  Whiskies & Lochs

Today’s run takes us via the market town of Aberfeldy and the Dewar’s Distillery in the same location, where we have arranged a tour. The route then links between Loch Tay and Loch Lomond, where we have arranged a boat tour. Then check in to the recently renovated five-star Cameron House Hotel, on the shores of Loch Lomond. The final dinner together will be at the hotel this evening.

Day 5:  Depart for Home

Following breakfast you able to continue your holiday on the west coast of Scotland or start your journey home.
