RREC International Rally Cologne

RREC logoFor 2025 the Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts’ Club International Rally is being hosted in Cologne, Germany. In partnership with the RREC Germany, Classic Travelling, as official tour operator for the RREC, has organised the accommodation and events over the weekend for all RREC members.

In addition we have organised a tour to and from Germany for all RREC members from the UK.

We are making final arrangements and hope to have a price soon. However, please register for a place or fill in the Enquiry Form to the right, and we shall keep you informed when further details are available.

Itinerary

Day 1:  Arrive in Cologne

Check-in at Hotel Maritim in the centre of Cologne.

At 4pm we shall have a welcome drink followed by a guided walking city tour through historic old town at 5pm for around 1.5 hours. This will be in small groups and offered in different languages.

Afterwards there will be dinner in a traditional Cologne brauhaus.

Day 2:  Cologne Cathedral

After a hearty breakfast at the hotel it’s a 10-minute walk to Cologne Cathedral where we shall have a tour of the World Heritage Site.  There will be some small groups for the interior (in different languages).  Other small groups can explore the medieval roof construction, or Roman excavations, or crypt and dome treasure

Alternatively, it’s a short walk to opposite side of River Rhine to view the  Tower Triangle.

We shall then have lunch at Café and Winehouse Reichardt with its patisserie.

The afternoon is at leisure with suggestions of the following

  • Wallraf-Richartz Museum (modern art)
  • Rautenstrauch Joest Museum (ethnological museum)
  • The Chocolate Museum
  • The National Sports Museum
  • Tour to Rheinauhafen (modern architecture in the old harbour)
  • Shopping opportunity for the shopaholics

At 6.30pm we shall have dinner with show at Höhnerstall (traditional Cologne Carnival event location)

Day 3:  Motor World & River Cruise

After breakfast at hotel drive to Motorworld Koln Rheinland, a lively meeting place for all car enthusiasts, with cars of all sorts, traders, classic fashion and the Michael Schumacher Collection.

It’s also possible to visit to Bentley Cologne.

Afterwards depart for Bad Godesberg, Bonn, former German capital, where we shall board a steamboat for a cruise on the romantic Rhine River. There will be tour guides in English and German.

Return to the hotel for a Champagne reception and Gala Dinner (black-tie) with live entertainment.

Day 4:  Concours d' Elegance

After breakfast it’s a scenic drive to to the Grandhotel Petersberg, the venue of the Concours d’ Elegance where we shall spend the morning seeing the magnificent array of Rolls-Royce and Bentley motor cars, followed by lunch.

In the afternoon, participants are free to depart for home, or stay on for a night at the hotel.

 

Where we'll stay

We have booked the Hotel Maritim in centre of Cologne (Koln) with excellent panoramic views of the River Rhine. The Maritim Köln offers elegant accommodation and a spa with a gym and indoor pool. There are a variety of room categories available.
