RREC International Rally Germany

RREC logoFor 2025 the Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts’ Club International Rally is being hosted near Cologne and Bonn, Germany. In partnership with the RREC Germany, Classic Travelling, as official tour operator for the RREC, has organised the accommodation and events over the weekend for all RREC members.

The weekend promises to be an extravaganza, based at three fabulous hotels, and exploring this wonderful part of Germany, along the River Rhine. There will be sumptuous dinners, entertainment, a concours to see all the wonderful cars, a great opportunity to catch up with fellow members and make and renew friendships from across the Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts Club.

The Main Weekend is four nights, from Thursday 26 June and departing after breakfast on Monday 30th June. We also have a shorter, three-night weekend, from Friday afternoon to Monday morning.

In addition we have organised a tour to and from Germany for all RREC members from the UK, with crossing from either Folkestoneto Calais with Eurotunnel LeShuttle or Hull to Rotterdam with P&O Ferries, staying overnight on Wednesday 25 June near Bruges, and then joining the Main Weekend on Thursday 26 June.

Itinerary

Day 1:  Wednesday 25 June: Tour - Drive to Bruges

72 Miles

For those travelling from the UK:

Either arrive in Calais on a morning Eurotunnel crossing, or to Rotterdam on the overnight ferry from Hull.

The journey to the hotel is 134 miles from Rotterdam or 72 miles from Calais.

Stay in a lovely hotel, north of Bruges. Dinner will be included.

Day 1:  Thursday 26 June: International Rally - Welcome Dinner

154 Miles

For members travelling from the hotel near Bruges, enjoy a day of scenic driving across Belgium and into the Netherlands.

Guests will arrive, primarily from the UK and Western Europe, at Bilderberg Hotel Kasteel Vaalsbroek in Vaals, located at the intersection of Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands, near Aachen. After welcome drinks in the courtyard and gardens we have dinner will be held, with a welcome from the Belgian, Flemish, Dutch, and German RREC section chairmen.

Day 2:  Friday 27 June: Aachen

70 Miles

After breakfast head to Aachen, to visit of the Dome of Aachen, crowning place of Charles le Magne.

Then drive on country roads to Hotel Schloss Bensberg where the cars will be parked in the magnificent courtyard. Enjoy a picnic under the trees and wander amongst the cars and trade stalls (European Rolls-Royce related dealers and exhibitors with small stands).

There is the option to visit Cologne Cathedral which is just 20 minutes away.

This evening there will be a drinks reception and three-course banquet dinner with local dance entertainment from the dance company ‘Original Kölsche Tanzgruppe der Fidele Zunftbrüder 1919’ from the Cologne Carnival.

Day 3:  Saturday 28 June: Baroque Palaces & Bonn

60 Miles

After breakfast it is a scenic, relaxed drive to the World Heritage Site of Schloss Augustusburg in Brühl, one of the most important Baroque Palaces in Germany, where there will be a reception and visit.

It’s then a lovely drive to our lunch venue, followed by an afternoon visit to the UN Headquarters Europe in Bonn, Germany’s former capital. Cross the river by ferry and return to Hotel Schloss Bensberg.

This evening there will be a drinks reception, followed by a black-tie gala four-course dinner accompanied by wines from Rhine wine estates.

The famous primadonna Stefanie C.Braun will sing accompanied by  piano and strings.

Day 4:  Sunday 29 June: Grand Finale

33 Miles

After breakfast it’s a scenic drive to to the Grandhotel Petersberg in Koenigswinter for the final night. The cars will be parked for a group photo.

There will be a short bus transfer to the jetty to board for a Rhine River cruise, where lunch and a wine tasting will be provided on the boat, accompanied by live music. Return to the hotel.

There will then be a special exhibition and reception with Rolls-Royce Cologne.

The final Gala Dinner with fireworks over the Rhine will also celebrate 50 years of the RREC German section, founded in 1975. Music will be from a Salon Orchestra playing Viennese and 1920s music.

A limited number of River View Room upgrades are available for an additional €55/room.

Day 5:  Monday 30 June: Depart for Home

230 Miles

After breakfast depart for home.

For those heading back to the UK, there is either a later afternoon crossing from Calais (280 miles) to Folkestone (Eurotunnel LeShuttle) or an overnight ferry from Rotterdam (230 miles) to Hull.

There is also the option for any RREC members to join the Classic Travelling tour to St Moritz for the British Classic Car Meeting. Join on Tuesday in the Swiss Jura.

Where we'll stay

We have booked three hotels for the weekend. Thursday night will be in the Netherlands, right on the border of the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, staying at the beautiful Bilderberg Kasteel Vaalsbroek in Vaals. Friday & Saturday nights will be at Schloss Bensberg, and Sunday night will be at the Grand Hotel Petersberg.
