Itinerary

Day 1:  Lunch in Le Touquet

174 Miles

We depart Folkestone on the 09.20 Eurotunnel Le Shuttle to Calais. On arrival in France we take the Autoroute to Le Touquet, where we have arranged a picturesque lunch stop, for some fine French cuisine. We will then continue on autoroutes as far as Amiens, where we have a pleasant D-road route planned to our hotel just outside Chantilly. There is time to relax before dinner at the hotel.

Day 2:  Arts et Elegance at Chantilly

20 Miles

Today we start the Arts et Elegance activities around Chantilly. The event is set amongst the grounds of the magnificent chateau. Expect to see the latest cars from top manufacturers, concept cars, as well as the finest vintage cars participating in the prestigious concours event. You will be aware that the concours scene is bigger than ever and the Arts et Elegance contributes to the concours season, in which the winner will be presented at the Peninsula Hotel, Paris during the Retromobile weekend.

Day 3:  Privileged Parking and Picnics

22 Miles

Today we take our cars into the chateau grounds, where we have arranged parking. There is plenty of time to continue to see the displays and visit the chateau. We have a planned a delicious picnic with our cars at lunchtime. Through the afternoon we will watch the top cars go through the judging process and be presented in front of the chateau. This evening we have arranged dinner at the hotel.

Day 4:  Monet's Garden at Giverny

164 Miles

Our route today takes us just north of Paris to Giverny, the home of Monet’s Garden. Monet and his family settled in Giverny in 1883 and Monet set about creating the gardens, which are now legendary for the Water Lillies for which he is so famous. We have time to admire the gardens and house before lunch in Giverny.

Talk to us about your preferred return journey, we are happy to book you a return Eurotunnel or a Brittany Ferries Caen to Portsmouth overnight crossing that evening. Both are bookable for a small supplement.

Where we'll stay

We have selected a recently renovated four-star hotel on the outskirts of Chantilly. Situated in a peaceful hamlet surrounded by green there is a Sothys Spa, two restaurants and a cocktail bar: The perfect place to relax over the weekend.
