RREC Silver Cloud 70th Anniversary

A weekend to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud and Bentley S Series motor cars, launched in 1955. Enjoy a spectacular weekend based in the Windsor Great Park area. There will be a visit to Windsor Castle, followed by a fabulous dinner at the hotel on Saturday. On Sunday enjoy a parade of Silver Clouds on the Long Walk of Windsor Castle before driving to Bray for lunch at the same restaurant where the Silver Cloud was originally launched in 1955.

Participants will have the unique opportunity for their cars to be photographed in the exact position outside the old hotel building where the original press photographs were taken in 1955. A quintessentially British luncheon will be prepared for us. The Hinds Head Hotel was awarded its first Michelin Star in 2013 and is owned by celebrity chef, Heston Blumenthal.

Itinerary

Day 1: Windsor Castle

12 Miles

Arrive at the hotel in time coffee and pastries then depart for a visit of Windsor Castle, the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world.

Founded by William the Conqueror in the 11th century, it has since been the home of 40 monarchs.

Return to the hotel for a delicious three-course dinner.

Day 2: Lunch at Bray

10 Miles

There will be a morning parade on the Long Walk at Windsor Castle, with photos of each car.

Then make your way to Bray for lunch at the Hinds Head Hotel, where the Silver Cloud was launched in 1955.

After an excellent three-course lunch there will be individual photos taken of each car in the same location as 1955.

Depart for home.
