Itinerary

Day 1:  Thursday 14th January - Arrival & Opening Evening

34 Miles

Arrive in Gröbming and complete event check-in, with time to see the cars as they undergo final preparations and scrutineering. In the afternoon, head to Schladming for the official start, where the atmosphere builds in the main square before the field sets off. The day’s highlight is the Dachstein Prologue, a spectacular hill climb on a closed mountain road, offering an exciting introduction to the event. In the evening, enjoy the official opening gathering in Schladming.

Day 2:  Friday 15th January - Schladming–Dachstein Drive

100 Miles

A full day of winter rally driving through the Schladming-Dachstein region, covering a variety of snow-covered roads and mountain routes. Participants take on regularity sections and driving challenges throughout the day, including lunch at the peak of the Dachstein Mountain. The evening challenge takes place on the snow covered racetrack in Gröbming, an incredible spectacle to close the day.

Day 3:  Saturday 16th January - Final Stages & Hill Climb

75 Miles

The final day begins with the airfield challenge followed by further rally stages before building towards the event’s dramatic conclusion.

A highlight is the Planai Hill Climb, where participants tackle this iconic closed mountain road in front of spectators. The event concludes with the awards ceremony and BBQ in Schladming, celebrating the achievements of the rally and bringing the experience to a memorable close.

Day 4:  Sunday 17th January - Departure or Ski Extension

After breakfast, transfers have been arranged to Salzburg Airport for your return journey home.

Alternatively, extend your stay with a 3 or 6-day skiing extension in Schladming, enjoying access to one of Austria’s premier ski areas. With excellent slopes, complimentary ski-guiding and a wide choice of restaurants and mountain huts, it is the perfect way to continue your Alpine experience.

Eligibility

To compete in the Planai-Classic, the event is open to road-registered cars built before 31 December 1976 with exceptional modern supercars and hypercars considered on request.
