Depart the UK via Eurotunnel and begin your journey into France. Enjoy an easy and relaxed first day’s drive through the French countryside, arriving at our overnight destination near the historic town of Laon. Settle into your hotel and join the group for a fabulous welcome dinner.

Continue east through rolling countryside towards the Alsace region, known for its charming villages and vineyards. Enjoy a scenic drive along quiet roads smooth D-roads through quaint ski villages before arriving at your hotel, perfectly located to explore this beautiful area.

Today’s route takes you across the Rhine and into Germany, with increasingly engaging driving roads as you head towards the shores of Lake Constance. Skirting the edge of the Black Forest, enjoy a rewarding day’s drive before arriving at your lakeside hotel.

Leave Lake Constance behind and head into the Alps, where the scenery becomes more dramatic and the roads more exhilarating. Crossing into Austria, enjoy a superb day’s driving through mountain landscapes before arriving in the elegant Alpine town of Kitzbühel.

A final and memorable drive through the Austrian Alps via the fabulous Grossglockner pass brings you to Gröbming, home of the Ennstal-Classic. Arrive in time to settle in to our hotel, your base for the next 5 nights.

Today we officially become part of the Ennstal-Classic as Gröbming comes alive with an extraordinary collection of historic cars arriving from across Europe. Grand Tour guests will receive their event accreditation and enjoy full Driver’s Club access throughout the Ennstal-Classic, giving us access to the same hospitality and social programme enjoyed by the Rally and Touring entrants.

There will be time to explore the Motorpark, see the competing cars and soak up the atmosphere before joining competitors for the official opening evening. Traditionally held in the beautiful surroundings of IMLAUER Hotel Schloss Pichlarn, this first gathering brings drivers and co-drivers together for the official welcome and dinner, and marks the beginning of four unforgettable days as part of the Ennstal-Classic community.

Our first driving day takes us deep into the Austrian Alps, following the Ennstal-Classic’s celebrated Tauernrunde. While competitors face regularity tests and timing controls, Grand Tour entrants will enjoy a specially adapted version of the route with lower daily mileage, no competitive element and no restrictions on navigation equipment.

We’ll experience many of the same roads and locations, joining the rally at selected stops and enjoying the same event hospitality and catering as the competing crews.

One of today’s great highlights is the Red Bull Ring. The competitors take to the legendary Formula One circuit as part of their competitive route; we’ll be there to experience the spectacle from trackside, watching this remarkable field of historic machinery lap the circuit before continuing our journey through the Alps. The official route traditionally continues over the spectacular Sölk Pass before the day’s finish and evening hospitality.

Friday is traditionally known as the Marathon, described by the organisers as the heartbeat of the Ennstal-Classic. Competitors tackle the longest day of the event, typically covering around 400–450 kilometres through spectacular countryside, mountain roads and historic towns.

Grand Tour entrants will share the adventure but in true Classic Travelling style. We’ll follow a carefully planned, shorter version of the day’s route, allowing us to experience the finest roads and locations without the competitive mileage or pressure of maintaining rally timings.

We’ll meet the Ennstal-Classic throughout the day, joining competitors at selected coffee and lunch stops and enjoying the same hospitality and Driver’s Club access along the way. This gives us time to enjoy the cars, meet fellow participants and immerse ourselves in the event rather than simply watching it pass by.

As the competitors return to Gröbming after their Marathon, we’ll join them once again for the exclusive evening programme and hospitality.

Saturday is the spectacular finale, and one of the defining days of the entire Ennstal-Classic.

We begin with the legendary Stoderzinken hill climb, where the Alpine road is closed especially for the event. And this is where the Grand Tour offers something particularly special: our cars will also have the opportunity to drive the closed hill-climb road, allowing us to experience one of the event’s great driving highlights from behind the wheel rather than simply spectating.

Climbing high above Gröbming on a traffic-free Alpine road surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery promises to be one of the standout moments of the entire Grand Tour. The official programme then returns to the Classic Tent, where the event traditionally provides brunch before the afternoon finale.

The focus then moves into the centre of Gröbming for the Porsche Design Grand Prix. Thousands of spectators gather as the cars take to the streets for the spectacular demonstration Grand Prix and final competitive tests. Grand Tour guests will be right amongst the event, with Driver’s Lounge access and official hospitality, giving us the opportunity to enjoy the finale from within the Ennstal-Classic community.

After breakfast, our Ennstal-Classic Grand Tour comes to an end. Guests can begin their journey home independently, extend their European adventure or choose our optional vehicle transport service back to the UK.

After several days of exceptional driving and four days immersed in the Ennstal-Classic, we’ll leave Austria having experienced far more than simply watching one of Europe’s great historic motoring events.
