As you know my husband is Scottish and I lived there for 30 years but we had never visited Sutherland or Wester Ross and it was such a pleasure to discover it and to confirm how stunningly beautiful it is. The hotels you chose were superb and diverse and our favourite was Links House after Gleneagles – the food everywhere was delicious. We were of course extremely lucky with the weather and saw Scotland at its best and every day was just so very enjoyable. We have some very special memories and photos. Northumbria Tour – September 2014

As a Northumbrian for my first 10 years I was really looking forward to visiting old familiar sites and discovering the magnificence of new, which is very much what happened, so thank you. It has to be said that the weather enhanced the scenery to its full glory…..acres and acres of cornfields baled and casting shadows in the sunlight as they almost rolled down the hillsides, absolutely beautiful. Fabulous streams wonderful gardens and quirky bridges….so much of nature to see and the ancient castles along the shoreline, majestic in their solemnity. Even on that very wet day, we were well looked after in their very comfortable sitting rooms.
